Thanks for having a good discussion on the blog , it’s really exciting. What I have learnt this week is clever searching for subjects about ELT, as a result I used Cambridge ESOL exams.
Having information about ESOl exams is very important for English teachers. In the sit I found information about TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test).This subject helps English teachers to evaluate their abilities in all areas of English language teaching and indicates the strong points and weak points as well. I suggest for all of you to have a visit and take use of it.
Dear Shaswar, Thank you for mentioning those two points ,in fact it is very important for us to look at informations about testings inorder to avoid that classic ways of teaching particulary we are dealing with the new curricula (Sunrise) in Kurdistan,at the same time self assessment is very important for us to know where we are in the process of teaching and where to go ?and the most important question what to do to be a quality teacher. My name is Shaswar Kamal Mahmud,I'm teacher of English language, I teach secondary stage. Also I'm country director of Macmillan Education in Kurdistan Region. Macmillan and Ministry of Education are working together for developing English language curriculum for the Region from KG schools till the end of secondary stage.The project is called SUNRISE. I've BA and graduated from Salahadding University - Erbil 2002.
